He was a press photographer in Hamburg, when the sudden passion for
bamboos caught him and made him leave his brilliant career. He moved
to Italy, in south Piemonte, and set up a small farm where he studied
the appetizing uses of bamboo buds to satisfy the most refined tastes.
As
his studies widened, his farm grew (you know, bamboos are so explosive)...and
today he owns nearly two hectares of cultivations and such a number
of species, that he might be considered one of the most important collectors
of bamboos.
Thomas has found in bamboos the way to unite his previous job's experience
with his new passion, becoming one of the most sensitive photographer
of this intriguing species, that steals your heart and then... also
wants to be photographed.
